now there are only one paper plant, which located in northeast China, use acid paper production way, which can supply wood pulp ligno, but their finished paper products and paper fiber is not competitive in the market, i think that paper plant are facing survival predicament, though it is state owned company. that is a threat of wood pulp lignosulfonate,.
so drilling grade lignosulfonate plants keep trying find new raw material to keep their products.
In the world,only few paper plant has wood source lignosulfonate, mainly in Russia, South Africa and Italy, and abroad products price is high.
if use straw or reed pulp ligno, the performance of ferrochrome ligno will not be as good as what we expected.
moreover, recently that only one China plant adjust their production ways, which affect the lignosulfonate liquid quality. in the past, it is calcium based ligno, currently is magnesium based ligno, finally, it will affect the ferrochrome lignosulfonate quality.
from 2015, customers noticed ferrochrome lignosulfonate quality has been changing, that because expansive raw material drag production plants to bring new raw material in the products.
so i suggest worldwide customers check the new products sample before placing new orders.
on the other hand, due to crude oil price keep decreasing and poor performance in 2015, many drilling wells stop production, business is very slow. demands for drilling grade lignosulfonate slow down.
if lignosulfonate for drilling always keep at high price level, it might be substituted by good performance polymers.
